WHAT IS SLOW DOWN GUIDE?
Slow Down is a serial campaign for a mindful and sustainable lifestyle in cities. To find great slow spots in the city we also provide City Guides.
WHO ARE WE?
We are Marco Eisenack and Katrin Peters, two considerate citizens who partnered up in order to spread these ideas. We invite everybody to send us their ideas and suggestions.
While it seems easy to relax and lay back living in a small, rural community, pressurized city pace seems like the hardest challenge for staying mindful. We loved the idea of providing a city guide and blog in order to promote habits of mindfulness in our daily routines.
With our selection of places to visit and things to see we want to show who is already giving good examples and what and who we consider worthy of support.
Each city, no matter how big, has little spots of quiet and awe to offer. Slow Down in the city guides you to these places. Whether it’s the organic cafe to start the day right, or the serene path way through the park that saves you from going underground or taking the car. Or the people who develop ideas and products for us to enjoy.
We’re not claiming to be sustainability inspectors, but for our listings we look out for:
– Value chains of places we consider appropriate
– Positive social and environmental impact, whilst doing core business
– A balanced life between animals, nature and eachother
– Life being sweet
Our goal is to become more aware of the here and now. It is up to us to have a positive impact on our future. It is also our decision what we spend our money on and thus support, and what behavior we offer people we meet.
